What is the Rock & Gem Expo?
It started the way most good things do — with a family, a passion, and a growing collection of crystals that was quickly running out of shelf space.
As vendors themselves, the founders of Rock & Gem Expo spent years attending events across Ontario, falling deeper in love with the community of collectors, traders, and curious newcomers that the world of rocks and gems naturally brings together. But they also saw room for something better — events that felt more welcoming, more inclusive, and more focused on the shared love of the hobby than on who had the biggest booth or the longest track record.
So they built it themselves.
Today, Rock & Gem Expo travels across Ontario bringing together vendors at every stage of their journey — from seasoned importers to passionate hobbyists just starting out — alongside families, collectors, and first-timers who simply want to discover something extraordinary. The kids’ activities aren’t an afterthought; they’re a founding principle. Because the best way to grow a community is to make sure the next generation feels welcome in it.
That family spirit is baked into everything we do — right down to our mascot, Prospector Pebble, whose favourite gem is, of course, an amethyst.

The heart of every Rock & Gem Expo. Browse thousands of crystals, raw minerals, and gemstones from vendors who source and curate their collections from around the world. Whether you’re hunting for a specific stone or simply drawn to whatever catches your eye, the variety on display is unlike anything you’ll find in a typical shop.
Large Specimens & Statement Pieces
Some things deserve to be more than pocket-sized. Our events regularly feature large-format raw crystal clusters, mineral formations, and display-worthy specimens that make an impression in any space. If you’ve ever wanted an amethyst cluster as a centrepiece or a raw mineral formation that stops people in their tracks, this is where you’ll find it.
Gemstone Jewellery & Apparel
Wear what you love. Many of our vendors craft and carry handmade jewellery featuring crystals and gemstones, alongside apparel and accessories that celebrate the beauty of the mineral world. Every piece is as unique as the stone it’s made from.

Geode Cracking Station
One of the most popular stops at every event. Select your geode, crack it open, and keep the crystal formation hidden inside. No two geodes are alike, which is exactly what makes this experience so exciting for kids and adults.
Gem Sifting Stations
